Lighted Fan Pen
Model #: IQPLF
Q: I've had my pen for a while now, and it won't write anymore. What's wrong with it?
- A: This probably means that your pen has run out of ink and needs a pen refill. The refill type is 50.8 mm long and 2.26 mm in diameter. The refills can be purchased from our Store page on this website.
Q: I just turned my Fan Pen on. The lights are working but the fan won't spin. How can I fix this?
- A: This is happening because it takes more power for the motor to work to spin the fan, than it does to illuminate the lights on the blade. Typical batteries usually allow the Fan Pen to spin for about 4-5 hours on average. Zen Design suggests that you replace the existing batteries with one AA alkaline battery. To do this, look at the outer shell on the body of the pen. Here you can find the polarity direction in which to position the battery. Simply open the pen, replace the battery, and your pen should work for another 4-6 hours on average.
Q: I just dropped my fan pen and it won't spin. I know that it's not the batteries, so what could it be?
- A: This may be a result of the posts on the inside of the motor jamming as a result of either being hit or dropped. Simply turn the Fan Pen motor off, and look on the back of the pen. At the top where the fan blade is located you will see a Y shaped marking, simply tap this part of the pen lightly on a solid surface, turn on the pen. If it still does not spin, try several more times until it works.
